Some waste will have a handling fee due to the additional cost of proper disposal.
Organic waste (identified in green): This waste is channeled through different composting programs:

Hagamos Composta: $350 one-time registration fee and then $75 each time a bucket is exchanged for an empty one.

Hagamos Poposta: $350 one-time registration fee and then $90 each time a bucket is exchanged for one that includes sawdust.

NOTE: If you register for both programs, the registration fee is $500.

Upcyclable
Upcycling, also known as uprecycling, is the process of transforming discarded materials or products into new objects of greater value, quality, or utility than the original.
Unlike traditional recycling, which generally converts waste into lower-quality materials, upcycling seeks to make the most of resources, fostering creativity and reducing environmental impact.
Example: Converting plastic bottles into furniture, clothing, or accessories

Infrared recyclable
Downcycling, also known as under-recycling, is the process of recycling discarded materials or products to convert them into new objects of lower quality, value, or functionality than the original.
Although it is still a form of reuse, it often involves a loss in the material's properties.
Example: Recycling plastic bottles to manufacture products such as park benches or lower quality construction materials.

This symbol indicates that the material will be transferred to another organization to give it a second life. Ecovivo does not receive income or incur expenses for this process; however, we invest time and effort in the logistics to ensure its proper redirection.
Example: the organization Arch+ receives textiles to give them a new life.
