EcoWorkshop: Growing Sprouts and Microgreens

At Ecovivo, we believe that sustainability begins at home, and one of the easiest ways to get started is by learning how to grow your own food. That is why we hosted the EcoWorkshop: Growing Sprouts and Microgreens, led by El Rincón Verde, a community dedicated to sharing knowledge about urban agriculture and healthy eating.

During the workshop, participants learned about the differences between sprouts and microgreens, their nutritional benefits, and the basic conditions needed to grow them successfully at home. They also explored topics such as seed selection, the germination process, essential care, harvesting techniques, and simple ways to include these fresh greens in everyday meals.

In addition to the theoretical session, the workshop featured hands-on activities that allowed attendees to start their own growing process while receiving guidance and answering questions directly with the instructors.

Through initiatives like this, Ecovivo seeks to encourage sustainable habits that anyone can adopt, promoting healthier lifestyles and a stronger connection with the way our food is produced.

We sincerely thank El Rincón Verde for sharing their knowledge and expertise, as well as everyone who participated with enthusiasm. We look forward to continuing to create learning opportunities that inspire positive environmental action and strengthen our communities.
